Young Bond fan “sharpshooter” over at the CBn forums alerts us to this image of the Hurricane Gold paperback posted on the Australian Penguin website.

This image is a bit different from what we have seen before and, to my eye, it appears to be a hands-on scan of the actual book. The image suggests the book will be given the all-golden treatment, similar to the UK hardcover. Until now, all the images we have seen show the book as being yellow.

Hard to tell from this image what the book will look like in the flesh. I do think the Hurricane Gold paperback is one of the best illustrated Young Bond covers, so I hope the artwork isn’t too obscured by the all-gold shimmer.

Hurricane Gold will be released in the UK on May 28. Author Charlie Higson will be doing a UK book tour starting May 24 (click for schedule).
