A dazzling 24-carat solid gold copy of Charlie Higson’s fourth Young Bond novel Hurricane Gold will be revealed today at a major press event at the Imperial War Museum in London.

The Gold Book, created by leading “jeweller to the stars” Theo Fennell, was commissioned by Puffin to mark publication and will become a permanent part of the Imperial War Museum’s sell-out exhibition, For Your Eyes Only: Ian Fleming & James Bond.

The gold book takes its inspirations from the rumored treasure in the story and was designed, hand-made and crafted in Theo Fennell’s studios in London. The book opens up to reveal an inner compartment with an inlay of ebonised wood, containing a very special secret note from Charlie Higson.

The Gold Book revealed!

The Gold Book will be the star of Puffin’s advertising campaign for the paperback edition of Hurricane Gold, due for release on Wednesday, May 28. Today’s press event will be attended by Charlie Higson and Theo Fennell.
