Here’s one for collectors and completists. Our friends at Disney publishing inform us that they did not produced a proof edition of Charlie Higson’s Double or Die (due to be released in hardcover on April 22).

Uncorrected proofs -- also called Advanced Reading Copies or Galleys -- are preview copies created for reviewers and those involved in publishing. They are not for sale to the public. Collectors covet proofs as they sometimes contain differences from the finished book.

Hyperion produced proof editions for both SilverFin and Blood Fever featuring cover art different from what was ultimately used.
