The official Ian Fleming Publications website (which has just undergone a facelift) has announced that the first Young Bond graphic novel -- an adaptation of Charlie Higson’s bestselling SilverFin -- is expected in Summer 2008.

“The Young Bond graphic novels will be adaptations of the original Young Bond novels, featuring artwork by Kev Walker. It is anticipated that the first novel, SilverFin, will be published in the UK in Summer 2008.”

2008 is shaping up to be a big year for the literary Bond. Not only will we see Young Bond Book 4 and the SilverFin graphic novel, but Ian Fleming publications has announced plans for a new adult James Bond novel to mark the centenary of Ian Fleming’s birth, along with “a plethora of activity and events celebrating his life.”
